It seems that the flag of the largest country in South America is quite simple composition. 

Only the green box, the yellow rhombus, the blue circle, the ordemm E Progresso inscription with a white background, and the stars.

The meaning of the color of the Brazilian flag

The yellow color on the Brazilian flag symbolizes the wealth of the Brazilian state, namely land and gold reserves.

While the green color symbolizes the abundant richness of nature, flora and fauna in Brazil, especially the Amazon Forest and Patanal region.

Because of this golden yellow and green color, the Brazilian flag is also known as Auriverde. The word comes from the Portuguese 'auri' which means 'gold' and 'verde' which means 'green'.

Like the 50 stars on the Flag of the United States, the 27 stars on the Brazilian flag also have meaning, friends.

The stars scattered on the blue circle in the center of the Brazilian flag is constellations or constellations.

The large size of the star adjusts to the area of each state in Brazil. The explanation of the constellation in the Flag of Brazil is as follows:


1) Procyon, symbolizing the state of Amazonas. The leftmost placed star symbolizes the location of the westernmost Amazonas state in Brazil.

Canis Major, symbolizing the states Mato Grosso, Amapá, Rondônia, Roraima, and Tocantins;

2) Canopus, symbolizing the state of Goiás;

Spica, symbolizing the state of Pará. The star placed on the inscription Ordem E Progresso symbolizes the location of the state of Pará above the equator;

3) Hydra, symbolizing the state of Mato Grosso do Sul and Acre;

4) Crux Australis, symbolizing the states of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Bahia, Minas Gerais, and Espírito Santo;

5) Sigma Octantis, symbolizing the state of the Federal Distrito or Brasília which is the capital of Brazil;

6) Triangulum Australe, symbolizing the states of Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, and Paraná;

7) Scorpius, symbolizing the states of Piauí, Maranhão, Ceará, Alagoas, Sergipe, Paraíba, Rio Grande do Norte, and Pernambuco.

The stars placed far right symbolize the location of all the easternmost states in Brazil.

In addition to the stars are very complicated. Ordem E Progresso also has its own rules. 

The letter P in that sentence should be located right in the vertical diameter of the circle.

Each letter in Ordem and Progresso is written with a height of 0.33 meters, and a width of 0.30 meters.
